The Rundown: Tanith decides to investigate the death of her predecessor as the mystery within the park deepens.
After discovering the dead body of her predecessor, Tanith discovers that the park has some dark contingencies that disturb her as she and Richard are forced to leave the area. Heading back into the cast member area, Tanith decides to investigate on her own and sees that the previous Briar Rose was into some questionable activities. Activities that will bring her face to face with another cast member in another area of the park.
After trying to get information from him, she finds herself face to masked face with the killer. A killer who stalks her throughout the park and seems to know exactly where it is going. A killer that is not only relentless, but completely silent as Tanith runs for her life.
The Story: Fred Van Lente continues to create an entertaining story in this issue. I love the buildup of suspense throughout this issue and how Tanith is becoming a more interesting story as the story progresses. I really enjoyed the reveal of the killer and how it beautifully ramped up the tension and terror throughout the story and didn’t let up even into its final moments. I look forward to seeing where the cliffhanger takes me next.
The Art: Panda delivers beautiful art throughout the issue. I really love the visual style of this series and how it contrasts the dark tone of the story.
