The Rundown: Kamala risks her secret identity again as intolerance plagues the campus.

Kamala continues to have strange and disturbing dreams before she wakes up to the dark reality of her new mutant existence. As Orchis and its agenda continues to flourish on the school’s campus, Kamala sees the results of the intolerance firsthand and reaches out to the X-Men for advice.

Unfortunately, Orchis is listening and sends out drones to find her. After an unexpected rescue and a heart to heart with Emma, Kamala returns to confront her dreams, but someone else could be listening in.

The Story: A fun and inventive story filled with great action, humor and surprises. I love the suspense in the story as well as the realities of intolerance being shown. Vellani and Pirzada do a great job of showcasing the optimism of Kamala even as the world is trying to stamp it out of her. I also love seeing the compassion and care the other characters have for her because it shows how much of an impact she has on others. The story has a great tone to it and I look forward to the next issue.

The Art: Gomez and Gorham deliver fantastic art throughout the issue. The visuals are bright, beautifully detailed and visually engaging.
