The Rundown: Kamala finds herself fighting alongside an old friend against undead recent ones.
Kamala finds herself dealing with her feelings for Red Dagger as he comes to Jersey to see her and talk about their feelings. Unfortunately, their reunion is interrupted by an optic blast from a zombie version of Cyclops.
As the pair fight off the undead X-Man, more members of the team arrive to target Kamala. Fighting off zombie versions of her fellow mutants, Kamala questions who is targeting her specifically before her fight is interrupted by an unexpected return.
The Story: Vellani and Pirzada craft an entertaining and fun story in this issue. I like the continued interpersonal as well as external conflicts Kamala is dealing with. The story has a wonderful mixture of teenage angst and intense action. I love the suspense in the issue as well and the villain at the heart of this story continues to be a clever foil for Kamala.
The Art: Godlewski delivers beautifully detailed and expressive art that captures the tone of the story and its characters brilliantly.
