Kamala Khan, the Muslim American superhero known as Ms Marvel has been a popular character since her inception in 2013. The Inhuman hero was created by Sana Amanat, Stephen Wacker, G. Willow Wilson and Adrian Alphona. President of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige gave an interview to the BBC where he announced that a live action appearance by the character is in development.

In the interview, Feige tells the reporter that plan are underway, but that Ms Marvel’s story is linked to Captain Marvel’s so that story needs to be told first.

“Captain Marvel‘s shooting right now with Brie Larson,” he said. “Ms. Marvel, which is another character in the comic books, the Muslim hero who is inspired by Captain Marvel, is definitely sort of in the works. We have plans for that once we introduce Captain Marvel.”

While “definitely sort of” sounds a little vague, the fact that there are plans means that we could be seeing the character either on the big or small screen (possibly in a cameo or after credits scene) after Captain Marvel makes her debut March 2019.
