The Rundown: The vampire forces face an ambush and one of them is taken by the humans.
Renfield has emerged from hiding and followed the trail back to where the humans are amassing in order to fulfill his mission as a spy for Dracula. As he gets captured and begs to be taken to his master, Harker and the other vampires attack.
Unfortunately, the humans are ready for them. After a short battle, the vampires retreat and Harker is captured and taken back to their leader while Mina looks for information for her lover. At the same time, Renfield returns to get information on a biological weapon that could turn the tide of the war.
The Story: I continue to enjoy the strange circumstances of this new take on the Dracula story. There is some great action in the story as well as a mystery that continues to be compelling and engaging to fans of the characters and this new and interesting world. I want to know more about this world and this issue does a great job of feeding that curiosity in many ways.
The Art: Bergting delivers beautifully detailed art that captures the imagination. There are beautiful shadows and a dark ominous nature to the visuals that perfectly captures the tone of the story.
