The Rundown: An old friend returns to send Moon Knight on a personal mission.
Marc is at the Mission when he receives a visit from his ex Marlene. A visit that will reveal that their daughter has been kidnapped by werewolves. Werewolves being led by Jack Russell. Knowing he can’t take them alone, he pays a visit to Hunter’s Moon to enlist his help and reveals the existence of his daughter. A revelation that Badr finds troubling both in its reality and possibility.
At the same time, Russell is preparing for Marc to arrive in order to fulfill a prophecy that will allow him to kill Khonshu. A prophecy that will require the child to fulfill. As Moon Knight and Hunters Moon attempt to rescue the child, Marc will deal with the new king of the wolves while Badr is tasked by Khonshu to do something dark to ensure his survival.
The Story: MacKay delivers an entertaining story that allows for Marc to have a personal passion for the mission he’s on. The story is filled with great tension and also funny at times. I really enjoyed the characters and how they are utilized. I loved the conflict with Hunters Moon in the story and how it evolved the character. I also really enjoyed how unexpected the ending of the story is.
The Art: Sabbatini delivers some great art in the issue. The designs of the characters is great and the action is thrilling.
