The Rundown: Marc might have to sacrifice everything to save the city.
After being shot multiple times, Moon Knight discovers the truth about the new Black Spectre and discovers why his old friend took up the mantle. At the same time, Marc’s allies fight to get to him, but find their access cut off and Reese deals with Zodiac in the Midnight Mission.
With Spectre’s plan appearing to proceed, Marc must use all his remaining strength to stop the machine before it drives the city insane. Unfortunately, with Khonshu trapped, there may be no coming back for Marc Specter if he succeeds.
The Story: An entertaining and thrilling conclusion to this arc from MacKay. It didn’t hit all the emotional beats I was hoping for going into the arc, but it captured the spirit of the character and the adventurous nature of his stories. There is some great rising tension throughout the issue and there are some seeds being planted that I want to see develop. An interesting end to this particular arc that gives the reader an enticing excuse to come back for more.
The Art: Cappuccio delivers some wonderfully thrilling and suspense filled imagery throughout the issue. The art is beautifully designed and filled with great action.
