The Rundown: Moon Knight teams up with Venom to both protect Dylan Brock and find Marc’s elusive prey.
Someone seeking help comes to the Midnight Mission and it turns out to be Dylan Brock, the son of Eddie Brock and the new host of Venom symbiote. On his heels are a group of mercenaries who have a contract for the boy. Moon Knight uses the attack as a teachable moment for the young hero as they team up to end the threat.
When Dylan reveals that there is something affecting the symbiote, Marc realizes that it is the sonic attacks from Sarnak that are to blame and Venom is able to lead Marc to his lair where he discovers that his enemy has been expecting him.
The Story: MacKay crafts an entertaining and engaging team up in this issue. Having Moon Knight team up with Venom is great and the dynamic between the characters works really well. The action is fun and I love the immediacy of the plot and its energy. Everything builds on itself perfectly to a great cliffhanger that leads to more questions than answers and I am enjoying the ride so far.
The Art: Cappuccio delivers stunning imagery throughout the issue. The visual style is perfect for these characters and both the action and character moments are visually striking and engaging.
