The Rundown: Marc goes to see his therapist to discuss the assassin that broke into his mission.
Marc returns to Dr. Sterman’s office to tell her about the former HYDRA assassin who infiltrated his Midnight Mission. An assassin with a connection to her and escaped Ravencroft to find her. As the two discuss the events within the mission, Sterman warns Marc about trying to help the killer instead of helping himself.
In the aftermath, Marc makes a revelation about their session. A revelation that will lead to a dangerous confrontation and a search for answers that Marc promises his friends will get bloody before the end.
The Story: Jed MacKay delivers a deliciously dark story in this issue. The plot build beautifully on itself and has layers that are perfectly executed with the dialogue. I love both the tone of this story and the unexpected directions that it takes. Having the stories overlap each other creates a wonderful shift that keeps the reader off guard and invested in both parts of the plot. The end of the issue is brilliantly done and showcases how dark and dangerous Moon Knight can be.
The Art: Cappuccio offers some beautifully detailed panels in this issue. Both parts of the story are visually dynamic and visually engaging. The art brilliantly captures the tone and mood of the story and showcases the darkness of the character perfectly.
