The Rundown: Miss Truesdale’s past and present lives begin to merge as a bigger threat emerges.
In the present, Miss Truesdale has fallen into some kind of coma as her staff rushes in to try to help her. At the same time, her past life self has been found and her body cast down the river in a boat. As magical creatures find her, the priest who held her as a gladiator is tasked by his demon master to find her.
As she emerges from her sleep, the warrior discovers not only her true name, but begins to share Miss Truesdale’s memories. As she tries to determine what is happening, the priest has been turned into a monster and sent to hunt her down.
The Story: The worlds of the character are beginning to collide and each part of the story reveals more interesting moments and connections that I continue to enjoy. The story continues to take some interesting and unique twists and turns throughout the issue and I love how the stakes are raised for the character both in the past and present.
The Art: Lonergan delivers a unique and visually compelling artistic style throughout the issue. I love the look of this world and how beautifully detailed it is.
