The Rundown: Kito Kessy will discover a strange truth that will lead him to an even stranger destiny.
Kito lives alone in the aftermath of a series of disasters that devastated his city. After the city is rebuilt, Kito finds himself thriving by finding things to sell. Unfortunately, he has a problem. As he travels with his pet rat, he is inundated with hidden messages seen throughout the city. Messages that prompt him to pay a visit to the offices of Mind MGMT.
After entering the building, he is subjected to a series of strange tests that prompt him to leave, but something brings him back. When he does, he discovers the truth of what happened to the city, who he is and that he has a purpose that could lead to something great or something just as destructive.
The Story: Kindt crafts an interesting and entertaining story in this first issue. The premise is really promising and there are some interesting character moments as well as an off-beat sensibility that was very engaging. The story is intriguing and its ending makes me intrigued to see where it goes next.
The Art: Dalrymple delivers some interesting and wonderfully composed visuals throughout the issue. I like the visual style of the story and it beautifully moves the story along to some great moments.
