The Rundown: Miles’ hunt for his Uncle will lead him to an alternate Earth that will be extremely dangerous for him.
In a world between worlds, Miles and Shift find themselves facing off against Ultimatum. After teaming up to take down the twisted version of Miles Morales, they find that he is still a threat as he tells Miles what happened to his Uncle Aaron after they arrived. Leading them to the last place he saw Aaron, the pair are betrayed and find themselves sent into a vortex.
A vortex that will take them to a world where a defining moment for Miles took another direction and both Miles and Shift find themselves in an alternate Brooklyn ruled by a dark leader with a very familiar face.
The Story: Ahmed delivers an entertaining story in this issue. There is some great action in the fight between Miles and Ultimatum and the tension between them is cool to see. The build up to the final act was brilliantly done with Miles facing some interesting and compelling moments that lead to an exciting and intriguing finale that makes me excited to see what comes next.
The Art: Allen offers some beautifully detailed art in the issue. There are awesome visual moments throughout and the space between worlds has a wonderfully distinct look that is both intriguing and scary.
