The Rundown: Miles fights to confront the Assessor.

Miles and Shift have found the Assessor’s headquarters and prepare to take him down for good. What they find when they enter the facility is something they didn’t expect. As they wander through a maze of doors to find their quarry, Shift decides to take matters into his own hands. When they find themselves in a room filled with traps, the pair find themselves facing an even bigger threat when they escape.

After enduring what the Assessor did to both of them and finding a way to survive it, Miles and Shift are greeted to a recording from the man himself with a final assessment. One they might not be strong enough to survive.

The Story: Saladin Ahmed crafts a solid story filled with thrilling action and emotional moments. Miles continues to grow and evolve as a character and his evolution in this story arc continues to be intriguing and engaging to the reader. I liked the self-contained elements of the plot and how all of the action happens in the same place. The relationship between Miles and Shift is interesting as well and I am interested in seeing how that evolves as well. Although, I don’t hold out a lot of hope that the character will continue past this arc.

The Art: Bandini and Zagaria deliver some great visuals throughout the issue. There is a lot of action in this issue and those moments are given brilliant life through detailed imagery and flair.
