The Rundown: Knull’s attack moves to Brooklyn and Miles finds himself facing off against a friend.
Knull’s attack on the city continues and it is moving outward with the introduction of one of his symbiote dragons attacking Miles’ school. After getting people to safety, Miles takes on the dragon and manages to free it and make a new friend. When he gets a call from another friend in the city, he heads there to find a way to help.
After discovering the source of the attack, Miles moves in and finds himself face to face with something he never thought he would have to. Kamala Khan has been taken over by Knull and she is on the attack. Determined to save his friend, Miles decides to unleash his power. But will it free Kamala or make things worse?
The Story: Ahmed crafts a fun and entertaining story for Miles in this issue. The dialogue between the characters was great and the action was even better. I enjoyed the fact that there was a personal touch to this attack and that Miles wasn’t facing down unknown hordes, but trying to help a friend. His interactions and personality really come through in this issue.
The Art: Carmen Carnero masterfully builds the tension in the story through the art. It is beautifully detailed and full of awesome action.
