The Rundown: Miles and Hightail face off against a previous vampire enemy.
Miles and Hightail face off against R’YM’R on the streets of the city as vmpires continue to invade. As they continue to fight, Miles deals with being a vampire himself, but can use the enhanced strength to hold his own against the creature.
As the pair continue to battle, Bloodline arrives to help put the creature back into the device it escaped from as Miles starts to embrace his new power.
The Story: Ziglar creates a fun, action packed story within this issue. The interactions between Miles and Hightail are fun and I really enjoyed the reveals as well. I’m not a particular fan of tie-ins to bigger events, but this one had an entertaining story that made sense to both the bigger arc and Miles’ current story. A fast and frenetic action story that was fun to read and builds on its suspense well.
The Art: Peeples and Picciotto deliver some fantastic art throughout the story. The visuals beautifully capture the fast-paced energy of the story.
