Michael Keaton will be making another trip to Gotham City.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Michael Keaton has joined the cast of the upcoming HBO Max film Batgirl. Keaton will be reprising the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman in the upcoming film. A role he played in the Tim Burton’s 1989 Batman film.
Batgirl is currently in production in London with Bad Boys For Life directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah helming the film. Leslie Grace from In The Heights has been cast in the title role of Barbara Gordon/Batgirl with Justice League’s JK Simmons returning as Barbara’s father Commissioner Jim Gordon. Nothing is known about the plot so far, but Doom Patrol star Brendan Fraser is also cast in the film though there is no indication that he will be playing his role of Robot Man from the DC Comics series currently airing on HBO Max.
Keaton will also be returning to the role of Batman in the upcoming Flash film starring Ezra Miller coming to theaters November 4, 2022.
