Matt Smith and Stanley Tucci Face Off in Zombie Thriller Patient Zero

Sony has released the first trailer for their zombie thriller Patient Zero and it puts a new spin on the genre.

Matt Smith (Doctor Who, The Crown) stars in the film as a survivor of the zombie attacks that are happening all over the world. Realizing he is asymptomatic, he is brought in to help find a way to study the infected while the government and a scientist played by Natalie Dormer (Picnic at Hanging Rock, Game of Thrones) searches for Patient Zero in an attempt to find a cure. When another infected comes in, played by Stanley Tucci (The Hunger Games, The Devil Wears Prada), they discover that he has a plan for his fellow infected and that he believes that they are the cure.

In the pandemic thriller, PATIENT ZERO, humanity is battling intelligent, adrenaline-fueled creatures born from a viral super-strain. After being bitten, human survivor Morgan (Matt Smith) realizes he is asymptomatic and can communicate with the infected, leading the last survivors on a hunt for Patient Zero and a cure.
