Deron GenerallyWarner Brothers and director Matt Reeves has added another member to the all-star cast of his upcoming DC Comics film The Batman.
Accoridng to The Hollywood Reporter, actor Paul Dano has been cast as classic Batman villain Edward Nygma aka The Riddler. Dano will join Robert Pattinson as Batman, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman and Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon in the upcoming film.
The Riddler is a classic Batman villain who routinely challenges the Dark Knight to solve a series of puzzles and riddles in order to prove to Gotham and himself that he has the superior mind. The film version of Riddler will supposedly change the characters name from Edward Nygma (E. Nigma) to Edward Nashton.
Paul Dano is known for his roles in films like There Will Be Blood, 12 Years A Slave, Little Miss Sunshine and more. He recently received an Emmy nomination for his role in the limited series Escape At Dannemora.
The Batman is scheduled to be released June 25, 2021.
