The Rundown: Emma’s next move will put a target on her back from her mark.
Emma has decided to take her fight directly to Preston when his team infiltrates their base of operations to kill her and her friends. Unfortunately, they run into the Paragon who decides to give them a different message than Emma had prepared.
After chiding the young woman for her strategy, he tries to stress to her how dangerous this path she is walking is. Emma decides to put the pressure on by recruiting some new people for her cause. At the same time, Preston decides to call in some help of his own.
The Story: Bendis continues to beautifully create an intricate and evolving world for this character and her friends. The mystery continues to deepen and the suspense continues to grow. There is a great edge to the dialogue and I want to know more about Emma and her parents as things continue to progress in a way that keeps me engaged.
The Art: Maleev delivers beautifully detailed art throughout the issue. The visuals are engaging and brilliantly capture the dark tone of the story.
