Marvel Comics has a new five-part series debuting in April that will tell the epic saga of Star Wars from a new perspective.
Star Wars: Tie Fighter is a new miniseries from Marvel Entertainment that will chronicle the battles and struggle of the Star Wars saga from the point of view of the Imperial officers and pilots who don’t see themselves as the villains, but as heroes restoring and maintaining order in the galaxy.
“The war against the Rebellion has put the entire galaxy at risk, but elite squadrons of TIE fighter pilots still fight to defend the Empire and bring fury down upon the Rebel Alliance,” promising that the series will “weave a TIE fighter tale that chronicles the struggles and triumphs of the heroes of the Empire!” according to a statement from Marvel.
The series will be written by Jody Houser (Faith, Thrawn, Star Wars: Age of the Republic) with art from Roge Antonio (Batgirl and the Birds of Prey) and others.
