The Marvel Studios shows on Disney Plus are unique in their connection to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and how those characters will transfer from the small and big screen, but now it looks like one of those series will actually return for a second season.
According to Deadline, Marvel’s Loki will be the first current MCU series to get a second season on the streaming service. The news was announced in typical MCU fashion with a mid-credit scene confirming that “Loki will return in Season 2”. Loki follows the time hopping adventures of the Loki from the end of the first Avengers film where he discovers a new “glorious purpose” in discovering who is behind the mysterious Time Variance Authority who seems to control the flow of time in the universe.
The first season finale is currently available on Disney Plus and there is no news on what the second season will involve, but there is a good chance that we will see the return of Sylvie, Mobius and the others as the Marvel Cinematic Universe heads into the Multiverse of Madness.
