The kids are in the fight of their lives when the transformed soldiers stalking them take hostages. It’s up to all of them to fight their way through the shifting landscape of the house as everyone finds themselves in Copper Sky.
The fight continues throughout the savage landscape and they learn a quick lesson on what happens in the strange land. As the evil around them increases, Angela will make a decision that will change her and the rest of the kids forever.
Phillip Kennedy Johnson wraps up this story with an interesting and entertaining flair. The action works and the plot is solid. What makes the ending more interesting is the possibility that there is more story to tell and those stories seem as interesting and engaging as the one that is wrapping up in this issue. The character relationships have an interesting evolution and the issue ends with the start of mysteries that deserve to be explored.
Flaviano’s art is great. The Copper Sky sequences are some of the best I’ve seen and the art does a great job of complementing the story Johnson is telling.
