MGM is bringing the video game heroine Lara Croft back to the big screen with a sequel to their 2018 reboot.
In order to bring Lara back to the screen, MGM has enlisted Lovecraft Country series creator and writer Misha Green to write an direct the upcoming sequel. Tomb Raider star Alicia Vikander is reportedly back on board to play the adventurer.
No details on the plot or direction of the new Tomb Raider film have been released probably because Green is still writing it. The first Tomb Raider film starring Vikander brought in around $275 million dollars worldwide.
Misha Green is known for her work on series like Sons of Anarchy and Underground. Besides writing, directing and executive producing Lovecraft Country for HBO, Green has teamed with Netflix to produce the action film The Mother for the streaming service.
