Another Stephen King adaptation is coming to theaters.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Legendary is developing Stephen King’s short story ‘Rest Stop‘ into a feature film.
Independent filmmaker Alex Ross Perry (Her Smell) will write and direct the feature. Based on a short story featured in King’s anthology Just After Sunset, Rest Stop tells the story of a writer who turns into a turnpike rest stop and witnesses a scene of domestic violence. The mystery writer, who publishes under a pseudonym, decides to step in as his alter ego to stop the attack.
Perry’s previous writing credits include The Color Wheel, Queen of the Earth and Disney’s Christopher Robin.
