The Rundown: The last flight off the planet will force a father to confront his past and discover a future he might not see.
Ben confronts his failures as a father in a conversation with his dead wife. Back in the present, he and the others make their way towards the facility that is housing their possible escape and salvation. Time continues to become a factor as they make their way to the facility but discover that the ship they need might have some issues that will extend their time. Time Ben takes to try to resolve his issues with his daughter.
With understanding comes a revelation that will change everything between the two and put Ben on a mission to not only save his daughter, but also the future. A mission that will have some unfortunate and devastating consequences.
The Story: Guggenheim brings this story to an interesting and unexpected conclusion. There are some great character moments throughout as the relationship between Ben and his daughter takes the central focus. With the series having such a sense of immediacy, the fact that this issue takes it time to deal with its central emotional conflict is a good thing. A really interesting, evocative series that was worth the read.
The Art: Ferigate delivers some great art in the story. With the story being character focused, Ferigato is able to bring out the emotion and humanity of the characters visually in some great ways.
