The Rundown: Deadman and Robin team up to discover the location of the Nightmare Stone.
Deadman is still inhabiting Batman’s body, but both his efforts and those of the resurrected Sandman are proving useless against the Sleepless Knights until Damian arrives and manages to help the three of them escape.
Boston continues to learn more about Insomnia and his investigation will lead to Dodds creating a sleep gas that will take them to the world between sleep and death. A world where the stone lies and where Boston Brand will have to do something dark in order to retrieve it.
The Story: An entertaining and action packed story filled with thrills. Williamson nails the Damian Wayne dynamic with the other characters and the Sleepless Knights are definitely scary throughout the issue. I continue to enjoy the deep dive into who Insomnia is and find myself wanting to know more about the character and his motivations. I also like the dark tone of the cliffhanger and what it means for the story going forward.
The Art: The artist bring their unique styles together for this issue and they create a brilliant visual world of nightmare imagery.
