The Rundown: Freya and Owen find an ancient relic before her family finds them both.
Owen and Freya find themselves confronting the dark truth behind her family’s immortality with a relic of unknown origin. A relic that brings the might of her family down on their heads as they are both captured.
After a harrowing escape, the pair are on the run again as her father’s forces move in and she is forced to face another one of her dangerous brothers in combat. A confrontation that will take a strange turn before she finds herself facing betrayal and a deadly choice.
The Story: I continue to love this story and the action throughout it. I like the family drama a lot and there are some great intense moments between the characters as well as thrills and revelations. I was disappointed in one moment within the story simply because it felt too predictable and takes away a character that grounded the story and seemed to act as the reader’s view into this world. It happened in a moment that felt unnecessary and cheapens an element of Freya’s journey.
The Art: Ossio delivers beautiful art in the issue. The visuals are brilliantly detailed and capture the thrills of the story perfectly.
