The Rundown: Frey and Owen are on the run, but Frey’s family is relentless in their hunt.
In the aftermath of a bloody family dinner, Frey and Owen are on the run from her family as Owen realizes that his girlfriend and her family are immortal. As they continue their escape from the family’s private island, Frey shows her fighting prowess as she cuts a bloody path on their way out.
Frey tells Owen the truth about their immortality and he comes up with a way to leverage their lives for the thing that keeps them immortal. As they find a long hidden library the family uses, Frey finds they aren’t alone as her brother arrives to finish the family’s mission.
The Story: Kaplan continues to craft a dark, thrilling adventure in this follow up issue. It is filled with suspense and blistering action. As much as I love the chase throughout the issue, there are some interesting emotions throughout the story as well. Frey’s confrontation with her brother is emotionally compelling and I can’t wait to see what happens in the next issue.
The Art: Ossio offers some amazingly detailed and visually thrilling art throughout the issue.
