Deron GenerallyAVATAR is still one of the highest grossing films of all time and production has begun on the two upcoming sequels to the 2009 blockbuster. Now it looks like one of the stars from another Cameron blockbuster will be heading to Pandora for the sequel.
Cameron is currently filming Avatar 2 and 3 and will be introducing a new group of young actors in the sequel. With the director filming the movies concurrently, there’s no telling when Winslet will appear. So far her role is being kept under wraps. Winslet starred in another James Cameron mega hit in 1997 when she played one of the leads in Titanic, a film that would go on to make $2.1 Billion at the box office.
Winslet’s next feature is the thriller The Mountain Between Us with Idris Elba and the upcoming Woody Allen Amazon feature Wonder Wheel.
Avatar 2 is slated to be released December 18, 2020 and Avatar 3 in 2021.

October 5, 2017 - 10:22 amThat’s going to be interesting. Cameron bringing in the big guns now. Don’t know if Kate is on board for just one sequel or all of them. Still psyched to know she’s gonna be in Avatar.
