The Rundown: Free from the effects of the medication, the kids must decide what to do next.

After convincing the other kids in the facility to stop taking the medication, they all begin to exhibit powers and communicate with each other. They also begin to plan their escape, but Sara decides to release Max. A move that continues the tension with Lucas.
As they change back into their regular clothes and drug one of the guards, the kids find a rare evening of peace as they explore their new abilities. Abilities they will have to use when they are discovered and force them to run. As they make their way through the facility, they discover what is being done to their fellow patients.
The Story: Orellana crafts a wonderfully ethereal and emotional story in this issue. Everything in the story is filled with mood and atmosphere as well as rising tension with the kids exploring their new powers with the specter of discovery hanging over their heads. I love that the story allows these kids to be young before stripping away their newfound euphoria with a moment of terror and discovery that makes me excited to see what happens next.
The Art: Orellana delivers beautiful art throughout the issue. I love the visual style and how detailed the pages and panels are throughout the story.
