The Rundown: Sara learns a difficult truth from Max that will change everything she believes.

Sara continues to think about the new boy in the facility Max. As she thinks about the young man, she decides that she needs the truth about what she saw him do the night before. As she confronts him, he tells her that he has stopped taking the medication they’ve been prescribed and discovered that not only has it cleared his mind, but it has given him abilities.

As she learns more about the others around him and what could possibly be the motivation behind drugging them, Sara decides to stop taking the pills herself. An act that will bring the pair closer as she discovers something strange and wonderful within her own mind.

The Story: Orellana continues to craft an engaging story in this follow up issue. The characters continue to be dynamic and interesting and their world continues to be complex and compelling. I love the journey of discovery that Sara is on and how the stakes for all of the children are rising. There is a wonderful subversive quality to this series and I look forward to seeing where this story goes next.

The Art: Orellana delivers some great art in the issue as well. The visuals are beautifully detailed and drew me in with every page.
