The Rundown: Epoch has revealed his plan, but will the reluctant allies agree to help him if it means ending the universe as they know it?
Darkseid has sent his team in to destroy Jessica Cruz and everyone she is working with. Epoch has them protected for the time being because he needs them to protect him while he works on his device that will reboot history without the threats facing the universe. After showing them every scenario in which they lose, he gives them information that will help them hold of Starfire and the rest of the team.
As they put their plan into place, Kory has a deadly run in with her sister who is convinced that Epoch’s plan will work. While the team fights to protect the device, Epoch realizes too late that he forgot someone in his calculations. Someone who has his own plans for the device they’re protecting.
The Story: Well told and filled with tension, Dan Abnett delivers an entertaining story in this issue. While the pace is a little slow at times, the story is solid enough to keep the reader engaged. Jessica asks some interesting questions as well in this issue and her challenge of Epoch is well plotted and adds some interesting elements to the story.
The Art: Cliff Richards delivers some rich and powerful art throughout this issue. There are some great action sequences and the final panels lead to an awesome cliffhanger revealed in the final image.
