The Rundown: Jumpscare’s parents need her help to find her missing sister, but her kidnapping has a darker motivation.

A monstrous entity known as Grindhouse has captured Allie’s sister and is holding her for a specific reason. At the same time, Allie aka Jumpscare meets with her parents who implore her to help find her sister. A task made more difficult given her parents positions and the tension between her and them.
As she leaves to find solace in a horror movie, a robbery gets her attention and she leaps into action. Unfortunately, her exploits get the attention of a dangerous creature whose defeat spurs her to seek help from a friend. A friend who reveals what is coming for her and what its dark purpose is for her.
The Story: Bunn creates an entertaining follow up to the first issue with a story filled with great drama and tension. I love the action throughout the issue and the dark tone of the storyline. I like the characters a lot and there is some great world building happening with the different factions in the story. I also like seeing Jumpscare deal with her own internal conflicts as well and look forward to seeing what happens next.
The Art: Luckert creates some beautiful art throughout the issue. I love how beautifully dark the visuals and creatures are as well as the emotions of the characters.
