The Rundown: Doctor Quest and Race prepare to take on an old enemy to rescue Jonny and Hadji.
Jonny and Hadji have been kidnapped alongside the mercenary who helped them. As Zin awaits the information that he requires for the next part of his plan, older Jonny risks his life to find a way to bring his father and Race to his younger self. As they make their way to Zin’s base, Jonny works with Jade to find a way to escape from their imprisonment.
Race, Benton and older Jonny make their way to Zin’s flying base and manage to infiltrate it while Jonny and Hadji fight their way out. As older Jonny and Benton make their way to the engine room, Race has a firefight with Zin’s forces and older Jonny makes a fateful and dangerous decision.
The Story: Casey delivers a fantastic story in this issue. I love the growing mystery and tension throughout this arc and things take some interesting and compelling turns. I love the tension between older Jonny and his father and there is definitely a mystery brewing in this story beyond Zin that I find compelling. I really love the tone of this series and the action and adventure is pitch perfect.
The Art: Piriz delivers fantastic art in the issue. I love the visual style and the tone of the art perfectly captures the tone of the story.
