Reports and photos showing possible sets being built or completed have surfaced fueling speculation that filming of the 10 episode first season is ready to begin. There is no official title or synopsis regarding the series, but the strongest speculation so far is that it will focus on the Mandalorian people during the era between the fall of the empire in Return of the Jedi to the rise of the First Order in Star Wars The Force Awakens.
If filming of the schedule is set to begin next week, expect announcements regarding the series cast and title to come sooner rather than later. The series is expected to launch on Disney’s streaming service in 2019.
