The Rundown: The Joker plans his most diabolic scheme to date. Harley Quinn reviews a previous case in hopes of stopping him.
Harley Quinn believes an attack will happen at a major event in Gotham. As she reviews several criminal files, the history of the Joker’s deviant behavior is revealed. When he causes a deadly commotion at a local concert, Harley tries desperately to stop him.
The Story: Kami Garcia has created an intriguing history of DC’s super-villain couple. Harley’s narrative during her time as a psychiatrist and profiler for the Gotham City Police Department is fascinating. And so is the Joker’s feelings towards her. I am really looking forward to seeing where this story goes.
The Art: The drawings by Badower and Suayan are very detailed and engaging. They really make you feel apart of the story. The choice to use color panels for the flashback sequences, and black and white for the present is fresh and interesting. Also, the hints of color in those same monochrome scenes to amplify intent and detail character is wonderful.
