Deron GenerallyThis year’s Arrow crossover event “Elseworlds” is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious events ever and now there’s new shots that show an interesting and amazing return.
In the early 90’s John Wesley Shipp suited up as the scarlet speedster for the original live action The Flash. When a new Flash series debuted on The CW, Shipp returned to take on the role of Barry Allen’s father Henry. He recurred several times on the series before his character was killed and he returned as Earth 2’s Flash Jay Garrick. Not it looks like he’s set to make another return.
According to new images from the filming of the crossover episode, Shipp is seen wearing his classic 90’s Flash uniform along with Stephen Amell as The Flash, Grant Gustin as Green Arrow and Michelle Benoist as Supergirl.
With Elseworlds already featuring Superman, Lois Lane and Batgirl, the inclusion of Shipp’s version of the Flash has me more excited for the upcoming event coming in December.
