There have been multiple interpretations of Tom Clancy’s classic hero Jack Ryan on film from Alec Baldwin (The Hunt for Red October), Harrison Ford (Patriot Games/Clear and Present Danger), Ben Affleck (The Sum of All Fears) to Chris Pine (Shadow Recruit). Amazon is bringing the character back for a new series with a new Jack Ryan at the helm.

Jahn Krasinski (The Office) will be taking on the mantle on the new Amazon Original series Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan. The series will follow Jack as he’s taking from his position as a CIA analyst and thrust into the field for a dangerous mission with pits him against a new breed of terrorist threat that could cause global destruction.

Joining Krasinski in the series will be Abbie Cornish (Geostorm), Mena Massoud (Aladdin), Timothy Hutton (American Crime), Peter Fonda (Easy Rider) and Wendell Pierce (Treme). The series was developed by Carlton Cuse (Lost / Bates Motel) and Graham Roland (The Strain)

Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan will debut on Amazon in 2018.
