Deron GenerallyThis year’s Doctor Who Christmas Special marked the end of Peter Capaldi’s run as the Doctor and a debut that will make history.
The special saw the Twelfth Doctor (Peter Capaldi) refusing to regenerate and taking on a mission with his previous self, the first Doctor (David Bradley). The two Doctors find each other in an Arctic snowscape, refusing to face regeneration. Enchanted glass-like entities, who stealing their victims from frozen time, and a World War I captain destined to die on the battlefield, but taken from the trenches to play his part in the Doctor’s story.
The special saw the debut of the first female Doctor Who in Jodie Whittaker and both Doctor Who and BBC’s official YouTube pages decided to commemorate the event by releasing the historic moment for everyone to see. Take a look and tell me what you think.
