The Rundown: Four new stories explore the worlds created by Jim Henson.

The Tortoise and the Feast in the Sky

When his trusted companion shows a lack of decorum, the Storyteller recalls the story of a vain and greedy tortoise who hears of the sky king holding a feast with some of the best foods ever made. A feast the tortoise believes deserves its presence. After tricking the local birds into sharing their feathers, the tortoise finds itself among the meal and unable to stop from gorging itself. An act that will cause its companions to abandon it in the sky and leaving the tortoise to learn a hard lesson.

A sweet, smart and engaging story with a wonderful lesson and fantastic art throughout.

The Future Goblin

Jareth and his goblins sit in the throne room with baby Toby and the goblins attempt to determine what kind of goblin the little boy will become. As they argue and speculate, Jareth has other plans for the boy as the two of them watch Sarah continue her journey through the labyrinth.

An engaging and entertaining story with a wonderfully dark and ominous tone mixed with great minimal art.

The Secret Ingredient

The Storyteller weaves a new tale of a baker who is renowned in his village for making the best pastries in the land. Unfortunately, he finds himself unsatisfied with his work and feels that something is missing. When he hears that there is a special ingredient in the forest that can enhance his work, he goes looking for it and encounters the troll that guards it. A troll that give him an interesting challenge with some high stakes if he loses.

A entertaining story with some fun and engaging moments as well as a great twist ending filled with humor. I also loved how the art style perfectly matches the tone and style of the story.

The Heretic and the Wanderer Part 2

When the Skeksis scientist kills one of the Gelfling twins the warrior brought to them, the warrior plots his revenge. Unfortunately, he takes a fall. Across the desert, a Mystic admires the sky and falls as well. After being rescued by strangers, he is brought to a new and interesting land where he learns the ways of its people and becomes part of its community.

An interesting short that takes the story in new places from a new perspective. I also really enjoyed the visuals and how they contrast each other.
