Deron GenerallyJennifer Lawrence takes on the role of a former dancer turned Russian spy in the new spy thriller Red Sparrow from 20th Century Fox.
Based on the novel by Jason Matthews, Lawrence will star as Dominika Egorova. Prima ballerina Egorova (Lawrence) has her life changed forever when she suffers a career ending injury. With a bleak future ahead of her, she enrolls in the Sparrow School. The school is a training ground for Russian intelligence where she is trained to use her mind and body as a weapon. Egorova completes the grueling training and emerges as one of the best operatives ever trained. While coming to terms with her new abilities and role, she meets and falls in love with a CIA officer (Joe Edgerton) and must decide whether to expose the man she loves as a spy or become a double agent.
