The Rundown: A war on Asgard will bring Jane an unexpected object and a choice.

A mystery figure seeks out enemies of Asgard from across the realms. Enemies who want to see the kingdom fall. At the same time, Jane Foster finds herself on a mission with the Avengers to stop a mass murder and Runa tries to find a way to balance her personal life and her duties to Asgard.

In the aftermath of a foiled attack, Jane’s life gets more complicated when Mjolnir comes flying through her window. As the hammer tempts her with its power and she discovers whose soul now resides within it, Sif discovers too late that someone is missing as war comes to the city.

The Story: Gronbekk delivers an entertaining and thrilling first issue with a great mystery at its heart. I love seeing Jane tempted by Mjolnir in the story and her conflict with Odin’s spirit within the hammer promises to be something dynamic. I love the tension throughout the story as well and look forward to seeing what comes next.

The Art: Dowling crafts some beautifully detailed art on every page of this issue. The character moments are visually intimate and the action scenes are thrilling.
