Deron GenerallySpawn creator Todd McFarlane is getting his Spawn movie together with Blumhouse Pictures and he might have found his Al Simmons.
According to That Hashtag Show, casting director Terri Taylor is getting a cast together for the film which is written by and will be directed by Spawn creator Todd McFarlane. The film is expected to go into production this August and actor Jamie Foxx has been offered the role of Al Simmons/Spawn in the film.
This isn’t the first time Foxx’s name has been connected to a Spawn movie. Back in 2013 when reboot rumors began, Foxx “actively” pursued the role. That film didn’t happen, but this new Spawn film is moving quickly into development. The new film will reportedly feature Spawn teaming up with Detective Twitch Williams to bring some violent justice to the men who kidnapped and murdered his daughter.
The film is eyeing a 2019 release year so confirmation of this should be coming soon.
