The seemingly on life support Flash movie is possibly getting a jolt of new life with news that another director might be taking over.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Brothers is eyeing IT Chapter I and II director Andres “Andi” Muschietti to direct The Flash for DC. His sister Barbara Muschietti will board the film as a producer.
Ezra Miller is still attached to star in the film as the fastest man alive, but the journey to get the film made has been an adventure in itself. Rick Famuyiwa was attached to direct the film originally in 2016 with a script by Seth Grahame-Smith. Spider-Man Homecoming writers John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein were attached to write and direct the film as well. Even Flash actor Ezra Miller took a turn at writing a script along with comic book legend Grant Morrison.
THR is reporting that Warner Brothers is hiring Bumblebee and Birds of Prey scribe Christina Hodson to write the script. Official offers are expected to go out soon.
