The Rundown: Tony’s mission to find the rings of the Mandarin will take a dangerous turn.
Tony Stark is determined to dismantle the arms dealers known as Source Control. After spending a huge fortune to buy all of the high tech weapons they have been offering on the black market, Tony’s operative Carl tries to procure another set of dangerous weapons and gets sent in time as a reward. A move that causes Iron Man to come out of the shadows and bring them down.
After continuing his search for the Mandarin’s rings, he decides to try something different and dangerous. Tony Stark decides to try to buy them himself. Unfortunately, his meeting with the seller turns dangerous with an unexpected betrayal and the revelation of who owns the rings.
The Story: Cantwell delivers a thrilling story in this issue. I love the exploration of Tony’s obsession and how it effects both him and those around him. The story has some great moments in it and does a great job of moving the arc forward in a way that keeps me interested as a reader.
The Art: Unzueta delivers some great art in the issue. The tone is dark and beautifully complements the darker elements of the story.
