The Rundown: Tony Stark finds a purpose on a new world with some familiar faces.
With Korvac still racing towards his destiny, Tony Stark is stuck on an alien world with no means of escape. After being there for days, he finds himself acclimating to a new society of different aliens that have been marooned as well. After finding secrets to the race that lived on the planet before, he discovers a means of keeping his suit powered, but at a cost.
After communicating with Patsy, Stark will discover a familiar face behind the scenes of the colony as well as another who is actively seeking its destruction.
The Story: Tony finding a way to find a level of peace is interesting, but this side story breaks a lot of the tension and excitement the Korvac story has been building. I’m trusting in Cantwell to bring all the elements together into something interesting and engaging. The story itself is decent. There is some great personal drama with Stark and his struggles. I liked that the character has found a purpose and that there is a mystery to this place he finds himself. Hopefully, it will all make sense together.
The Art: Cafu delivers some great art throughout the issue. The characters look great and the detailed panels are visually engaging.
