The Rundown: The new Iron Fist must learn to wield his power and forge a new path.

Lin Lie and Mei Min have left K’un-Lun on a mission to stop more of the Dark Destroyer’s minions in Shanghai. Unfortunately, Lin still has issues wielding the power of the Iron Fist and they give out on him at the worst possible time. After getting what they came for, the pair decide to leave, but their exploits do not go unnoticed. Danny Rand and his friends discuss the appearance of the new Iron Fist and Danny grapples with not only the loss of his powers, but the fact that he can’t find a way to return to K’un-Lun.

Back home, Lin Lie deals with not only his current condition, but the resentment of others who believe the power should be theirs. After a tense confrontation, Mei Min will have to show the new Iron Fist the legacy of the power he now holds and how he must learn to become a part of that legacy in a different way.

The Story: Wong delivers a great follow up to the first issue that gives more context to the character and allows the reader to connect with him more. The arc has some great character moments and action and Lin Lie’s personal struggles are compelling. I like the buildup throughout the story both in Lin’s struggles as Iron Fist as well as the bigger threat coming for him. The story has definitely sparked my interest gotten my attention as a reader.

The Art: Michael Yg and Sean Chen deliver some beautifully detailed panels on every page of this story. The issue if visually stunning and the action is engaging.
