The Rundown: Gabby and Trudy fight to save the world as the horned man watches.
The horned man stalks the area as the soldiers move in and Gabby finds herself being taken to the cave by Trudy’s father who wants her to activate the machine to end the world. At the same time, Trudy finally finds the tool she needs and goes to rescue her wife.
As the horned man moves in and goes after Trudy, Gabby makes a decision about what her destiny really is. As she decides to do what she thinks is best, both Gabby and Trudy will find themselves in the fight not only of their lives, but for the fate of the world as well.
The Story: Starks brings this story to a satisfying and action filled conclusion filled with great twists, action and thrills. Gabby and Trudy are great characters and the strength they find in each other is one of the best elements of this series. I really loved the action and horror related thrills throughout the issue, and everything comes together both with the external and interpersonal conflict in ways that make the series so unique and entertaining. As much as I love the way the story comes to an end, I would love to see more of this world and these characters.
The Art: Topilin delivers some beautiful and thrilling art in this issue. The action is fantastic and I love the ominous moments with the horned man and how he moves throughout the story right up to the final moments.
