The Rundown: Glee Goodbody takes her place as a resident of Hyde Street.

Glee Goodbody is a product of the eighties. A fitness instructor whose intensity and hatred for the unfit leads to one of her clients dying after being berated by her. Her inability to feel remorse causes her more problems as her life begins to fall apart due to her actions and attitude. Actions that will bring her to Hyde Street and the home of a fortune teller who tells her how she can get back control.
In the aftermath, Goodbody becomes one of the residents of Hyde Street and receives a visit from Mr. X-Ray who has a proposal for her. A proposal that could end their mutual problem, Pranky. Unfortunately, Goodbody is getting close to her goal and doesn’t want any trouble until Pranky comes walking into her store.
The Story: Johns crafts an interesting story in this issue. I continue to enjoy seeing the stories behind the characters of this series and this one has some interesting moments, but doesn’t quite stick the language on making Goodbody a compelling character. I liked seeing her descent into darkness, but the story lacked a defining moment that brought all of the character elements together. Still, the series continues to grow in interesting ways that keep me engaged in the bigger mysteries at play.
The Art: Portela delivers some great art in the issue. I love the visual style and aesthetic of the characters and their world.
