The Rundown: Pranky enlists the help of Mr. X to take down a rotten holiday soul.

A criminal dressed as Santa Claus has been breaking into homes during the holidays and ruining the night for everyone including a little boy whose joy is snuffed out. When the crook finds himself on Hyde Street, Pranky decides to have a little holiday fun, but can’t do it alone.

After enlisting the help of Mr. X, Pranky decides to give the criminal the complete Santa experience including flying reindeer and crawling up chimneys. Just as Pranky is about to deliver his finale for the evening, a terrifying creature emerges to claim the soul as its own.

The Story: Johns crafts a fun, spooky and entertaining story for the holidays in this issue. I continue to be intrigued by the mystery of Hyde Street, its characters and its purpose. The war between the characters continues to intrigue me and this issue had some fun and engaging moments between Mr. X and Pranky. There are elements that remind me of The Outer Limits or The Twilight Zone and those things bring me back to this series for each issue. I look forward to seeing what happens next.

The Art: Reis delivers beautiful art throughout the issue. I love the brilliantly detailed pages and panels as well as the character designs.
